The aerospace and defence industry faces numerous compliance requirements from the global governments, as well as internal standards of excellence. Such requirements cover numerous aspects of the supply chain including materials usage, manufacturing processes, use of counterfeit parts and, of course, hiring practices.
SCM is committed to ensuring that all legal, contracting and best practice compliance requirements are in place to uphold the standards of the industry but are also necessary, not overreaching or onerous.
At SCM our aim is to ensure full compliance with the CAA. The main purpose of the CAA’s enforcement role is to protect consumers and the public by encouraging compliance with rules applicable to civil aviation and deter non-compliance. We help ensure there are no deviations from the set criteria.
As outlined in our Regulatory Enforcement Policy, some enforcement actions will be published, primarily to provide a transparent mechanism by which consumers and the public can be informed about the actions the CAA have taken, and to provide a wider deterrent for non-compliance. The general principles for the types of actions the CAA will publish are contained within the Appendix to the Policy.
